1) Daily Dāna sessions
  • The venerable monks and meditators at BHL practice the eating of two meals a day – breakfast and lunch. Both meals are prepared by Dāna groups consisting of devotees of BHL
  • Other devotees and members of the public are also welcome to perform the daily Dāna (generosity through the offering of cooked food and requisites) during breakfast (at 6.30 am) and lunch (at 11.00 am).
  • During lunch Dāna, the venerable monks will administer the Five Precepts and recite the Paritta for the wellness of devotees.

2) Dhamma talks
  • Dhamma talks are conducted three times a week (on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday) in the Main Shrine hall at 7.30 pm. Topics on meditation will be expounded during these talks. Devotees and members of the public are welcome to attend these talks.
  • On Sunday before the Dāna session, another Dhamma talk covering general topics is conducted at 10.15 am in the Bhojanasālā / Dining hall.

3) Mettā Bhāvanā
  • Cultivation of loving kindness towards all sentient beings, every night from 9.00 pm – 9.30 pm at the main shrine.

4) Dhamma class
  • The Sunday Dhamma class for children is conducted from 9.00 am – 11.00 am.
5) Annual activities
  • Wesak day celebration
  • Honouring of departed loved ones (Pai Kong Ma) in conjunction with

    • Chinese New Year celebration
    • Cheng Beng day
    • The month of the hungry ghosts
  • Pindacara during the Vassa (rains retreat) period.
  • Kathina celebration
